Martin Franks and Mellie Buse have been involved in educational programmes and programmes for educational clients for over 20 years. This has included numerous programmes for Pearson Education, audio programmes for Kogan Page and English language for Grivas Publishing in Greece. They have also produced training programmes for clients in the Financial Services, Petrochemicals, auto and pharmaceuticals industries.

They have also worked for the public sector for Primary school inspectorate services, the probation service, the prison service and the Cabinet Office. Martin started his career as a Secondary sector Drama and English teacher, has run numerous workshops for children of all ages and educators and was a Communications lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge UK.

Mellie Buse regularly lectures at industry events such as Children’s Media Conference, the London Screenwriters’ Festival and the London Comedy Festival and has been an industry consultant for University animation courses.

Adastra Development have produced 19 introductory episodes for two education programmes run by the Royal Opera House for Primary schools – National Nutcracker and the recent Create and Sing Carmen. We are currently working with other clients providing in service teacher training.
